Twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost

This morning's altar flowers are donated to the Glory of God by Eleanor Soderlund in celebration of her children Caroline and Erik's birthdays.

A Christmas fair planning meeting will be held on Monday, October 22 from 7:00-8:00 pm. We will discuss what worked last year, what needs improvement, and what we would like to add. All are invited. Please join us!

This year's Oktoberfest is set for Sunday, November 4 at 5:00 pm. Brats, apple cake, beer, German music, and good company are guaranteed for all. The price is $18 for adults and $9 for children.

Sunday, October 28 is the installation service for Pastor Justin. The service will be at 3:00 pm, followed by a reception of hors d'oevres and drinks in the parish hall.

Pastor is leading a Bible study on the Acts of the Apostles on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm. All are invited to attend.

Choir practice is on Thursdays at 8:00 pm. Any new member interested in participating in choir should speak to either Lisa or John.

Christian Crafters are now turning their busy hands and sights to the annual Christmas fair in December. Please join us in fun and fellowship on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am and Monday nights at 7:00 pm. Bring ideas and willing hands. All are welcome! If you have questions, please see Lois Leonard.

The next meeting of the book club will be on November 5 at 7:00 pm. This month our selection is The Mothers by Brit Bennett, a book about small town life, scandal, how women are treated in the black community, and difficult decisions which change lives forever.

This week at Our Saviour

If you have any allergies that interfere with receiving Holy Communion, especially gluten or celiac disease, please inform the pastor. We have gluten-free wafers available.

The Flower Calendar is posted on the bulletin board in the link. Please sign up to sponsor altar flowers on the Sunday of your choice. The cost is $35. Checks should be made out to the church and designated "Altar Flowers". After the service, you may take the flowers home or contribute them to be taken to shut-ins or given to others.

Announcements must be sent to the church office by Wednesday morning for inclusion in the written "Announcements" insert of our Sunday bulletin.
