Holy Week begins today. We need volunteers to assist with our Holy Week and Easter services. Please consider helping out as a greeter, communion assistant, worship assistant, lector, or light operator. A sign-up sheet is on the link table.
We are collecting candies and small toys to fill our plastic eggs for our Easter egg hunt next Sunday. Please leave all donations at the church office this week.
Easter lily order forms can be found on the link and narthex tables. or in the March newsletter. Each plant is $15 and what a great symbol to donate in memory of or in honor of someone special for the Easter altar.
Our Book Club meets on May 13 from 7:00-8:30 pm. We are reading "Educated" by Tara Westover.
The Christian Crafters group is meeting again to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. This year they will be meeting on Thursday mornings at 10:00 am. Please see Lois Leonard for more information.
This year we will be serving our Easter breakfast of French toast and sausage between the services at 9:00 am. We need volunteer to help set up, cook, and clean up. Please sign up on the list on the link table.
The Croton Community Blood Drive will sponsor its spring drive on Sunday, May 6 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Croton-Harmon High School Gym. Babysitting is available at the high school. You must be between 16 and 76 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. There is a special permission form which donors who are 16 must have signed by a parent. You should eat and hydrate prior to donating and bring ID. Appointments are encouraged since it helps to plan staffing, but walk-ins are welcome too. If you have any allergies that interfere with receiving Holy Communion, especially gluten or celiac disease, please inform the pastor. We have gluten-free wafers available.
The Flower Calendar is posted on the bulletin board in the link. Please sign up to sponsor altar flowers on the Sunday of your choice. The cost is $35. Checks should be made out to the church and designated "Altar Flowers". After the service, you may take the flowers home or contribute them to be taken to shut-ins or given to others.
Announcements must be sent to the church office by Wednesday morning for inclusion in the written "Announcements" insert of our Sunday bulletin.
