I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving time in what ever way you chose to honor the day. I had a great time with family and a nice run in the morning.
I want to thank everyone who attended our annual meeting last Sunday. The budget was passed and the reports were well received.
Saturday December 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be our Pop-up Christmas Fair. It is a smaller event than previously, as we recognize the virus is still very much with us. We could always use some help with the fair, so if you have some time, we could use you.
We will have a beautiful queen-size quilt made by Marilyn G on view at the Christmas Pop-up shop. This quilt will be raffled to raise funds for the church and two very deserving organizations:
- 10% will go to the Croton Caring Committee to support their Holiday Food Basket Program.
- 10% will go to Darajani Secondary School in Marangu – Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, to help with school repairs.
The raffle will begin on December 4 at the Christmas Pop-up and continue through December 12 to allow those who cannot attend to get in on the action. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three tickets for $5. If you would like to participate by mail, please make your check out to Our Saviour Lutheran Church and write “quilt raffle” on the memo line and and be sure to get it to us by December 12. We will write your name on your tickets. The drawing will be held during coffee hour after the service on December 12.
